    Keeping our brain healthy is the smart thing to do. 

    Introducing our speaker, Michelle Denman.

    Michelle is a Registered Nurse with over 21 years working in the healthcare industry. Completing her Master of Nursing in 2016 specialising in education, health promotion, caring for older adults and palliative care. Michelle has worked as a Facilitator for Dementia Australia, providing a variety of dementia education sessions to healthcare professionals and community groups across Gippsland. This pivotal role provided Michelle with many opportunities to increase her knowledge related to dementia and brain health providing her a deep understanding of how we can influence our own brain health. Losing her father to Lewy Body Dementia, brain health and reducing the risks of dementia is something Michelle is passionate about. Keeping busy with eight children, multiple animals, living on a hobby farm, volunteering as a Guide for the Violet Initiative in supporting those caring for a loved one during the last stages of life as well as studying for a Master of Health - Michelle certainly enjoys a full and varied life!
