    Melina Bath - Leader of The Nationals in the Legislative Council since December 2022. Melina is the Member for Eastern Victoria Region and is the Shadow Assistant Minister for Public Land Use. She has served on four parliamentary committee:

    • Environment and Planning Standing Committee

    • Scrutiny of Acts and Regulations Committee

    • Accountability and Oversight Joint Committee

    • Electoral Matters Joint Committee

    During the 58th parliament Melina was Shadow Assistant Minister for Education for Victoria.


    Deb Leonard - is the community-backed independent candidate for the for the seat of Monash. Leonard is a small business owner, lawyer and mother, who has lived in the Monash electorate since 2008. In January 2022, she was nominated by Voices for Monash to be the electorate’s community-backed independent candidate. Her main policy priorities are climate action, integrity in politics, small business support, and inclusivity and equality for all.

    Mary Aldred - Liberal for Monash

    Mary Aldred - is the Liberal Candidate for Monash. She was the founding CEO of the Committee for Gippsland, the region’s leading industry voice to government. Mary oversaw this growing from a start-up to having over 100 local employers as members. Her experience supporting small businesses continued in her subsequent role as CEO of the Franchise Council of Australia. Mary has served the local community as Chair of the Gippsland United Basketball League and as Chair of the Gippsland Water Community Advisory Committee. She has served the community as a board member of: Lifeline Gippsland; Latrobe Regional Hospital; Australian Sustainable Hardwoods; and Woorayl Lodge Community Aged Care
