Insights into Managing in Crisis

Graeme Baxter is the Regional Director for Eastern Region with Parks Victoria. The area he manages is from San Remo to Wodonga and east as far as Mallacoota and Gabo Island.

Graeme will share some of the key issues faced by organisations such as Parks Victoria when responding to a crisis. What fore planning is done, what decisions are necessary in the moment and what future planning is happening in the crisis.

All these strategies are relevant to any business, no matter its size. Planning for crisis is part of good business practise because crisis will happen. It may be a natural disaster such as the current fires or it might be a supplier going out of business or the plumbing failing at a key event or power outage and no EFTPOS.

This conversation with Graeme will give you insights into what is happening on the ground in the current fires in terms of planning, response and recovery as well as an opportunity to consider what you can do to be prepared in your business for a crisis.
