November Speakers: Guest Panel

It’s no secret that starting and maintaining a small business can be a rollercoaster ride, full of highs and lows. Business owners are often under enormous pressure and mental strain which can be exacerbated by things such as efforts to maintain cash flow and a feeling of responsibility towards their staff. In rural areas and single operator businesses in particular, isolation can also be an issue.

In recognition of this, our November event will focus on 'Wellbeing Strategies for Better Business', with a particular emphasis on the importance of mental health in the small business community.

The Victorian Small Business Commission has just unveiled a program designed to help business owners. Trying to tough it out alone or push through it isn't usually the best strategy. There are people and other resources to help.

We'll have two representatives from the VSBC and two other health practitioners from the community as a panel to offer suggestions, strategies, and reveal resources.

About our venue...

Inverloch Esplanade Hotel

Inverloch's historic Esplanade Hotel was first licensed in 1896.  The current building replaces an earlier one, burned down by fire in 1934.

We'll be dining in our own partitioned part of the bistro (downstairs).
