About the event

SBWN Annual General Meeting 2026

AI – Try It, Ask It: How AI May Help Your Business

Join the Southern Business Women’s Network on Thursday 17 September for our 2026 Annual General Meeting — an evening to connect, enjoy a fabulous meal and have your say in the future direction of the SBWN.

The AGM is an important opportunity for members to reflect on the year that has been, celebrate the achievements of our network and help shape what comes next. The evening will include the election of our new SBWN President and Committee members, with members invited to participate in the voting and support the next chapter of this vibrant network of women across South Gippsland and Bass Coast. The SBWN is a membership-based organisation focused on connecting, supporting and empowering local women in business and the wider community.

AI – Try It, Ask It

Following the AGM, we’re turning our attention to one of the biggest topics in business right now — Artificial Intelligence.

Current SBWN President Robyn Eva and Secretary Sue Phillips will lead an engaging and approachable conversation, AI – Try It, Ask It: How AI May Help Your Business.

Rather than getting caught up in the technical jargon, Sue and Robyn will explore AI from a practical business perspective — how everyday business owners can simply try it, ask it and discover where it might help. From generating ideas and creating content to saving time, solving problems and supporting day-to-day tasks, this session is designed to encourage you to experiment with AI and see what it could do for you and your business.

Robyn Eva, current SBWN President, is also the founder of 4Eva Training, where her work focuses on training, personal and professional development and emotional intelligence. Her experience in leadership, facilitation and working with people brings a particularly interesting perspective to the conversation around how we can embrace new technology while keeping the human element firmly at the centre.

Sue Phillips, current SBWN Secretary, is an active member of the Committee and has played an important role in supporting the organisation and its members. Together, Sue and Robyn will make AI feel a little less daunting, a lot more accessible — and hopefully inspire you to go home and start asking a few questions of your own.

Dinner at Moo’s at Meeniyan

We’ll be gathering at much-loved Moo’s at Meeniyan, where the evening will be complemented by a beautiful Cambodian-inspired menu. Moo’s has become home to Mahob by Amok, bringing chef Woody Chet’s modern Cambodian cooking to South Gippsland and combining local produce with the distinctive flavours of Cambodian cuisine.

Main Course – choice of:

Seafood Amok

Fresh catch of the day from Bass Strait Direct with Khmer Kreoung curry, served with salad and rice.

Twice-Cooked Beef Cheek

Cambodian-style stew served with seasonal vegetables and rice or bread.

Dessert – alternate drop:

Matcha Cream

Ginger crumb and papaya sorbet.

Pumpkin Custard

Salted caramel sauce, coconut rice flake and vanilla ice cream.

Come along to connect with fellow SBWN members, have your say in the future of the Network, enjoy a beautiful dinner and discover just how useful AI might be when you’re willing to give it a go.

Try it. Ask it. You might be surprised by what it can do for your business.
